Only my cousin...

Monday, March 17, 2008

could get me to do one of these list things. But she tagged me, so I must comply with her request. Cousin loyalty!

10 YEARS AGO: Rang in my 18th bday with a rager at my house, complete with my favorite band Agouraphobia playing for the night; my mom's taquitos and Jenga also made an appearance

5 THINGS ON MY TO-DO LIST:
1. Get copy to design company for Ensign Classic invitation (charity event I run)
2. Find suitable drapes for our home
3. Pedicure
4. Make grocery list
5. Watch last week's LOST

5 SNACKS I ENJOY:
1. Chips and Salsa
2. TJ Cracked Wheat Sourdough Bread w/Nestle Quik Hot Choc.
3. I Can't Believe It's Not Butter Spray (Anyone who knows me at all knows there's a good reason why ICBINBS is its own entity on this list)
4. Chocolate Chips
5. Goldfish (I heart those fishies)

5 PLACES I'VE LIVED:
Saratoga, CA
Agoura Hills, CA
Washington, D.C.
Provo, UT
Vegas, Baby, Vegas

WHAT WOULD I DO IF I SUDDENLY BECAME A BILLIONAIRE:
What wouldn't I do....
For starters,
-Move to CA, get a one-story house so I wouldn't have to carry C and her O2 tank up and down stairs everyday
-Buy a villa in Italy
- Get a nurse to travel with us
- B, C, and I (and nurse for C) would live in Italy for months, traveling to other parts of Europe intermittently (friends and family could come visit:)
- pay for all of C's appointments to come to us rather than us go to them!!!
- Start a foundation to alleviate the financial and emotional stress of families with special-needs kids
- Buy Bryce a Porsche and a Bentley - the Bentley would come with a driver so Bryce wouldn't have to worry about pesky things like understanding maps or following directions
- Buy myself a Range Rover and a Lamborghini (you know, something simple and understated)

You get the idea...

5 JOBS I'VE HAD:
Umpire with BYU Intramurals (Seriously, I was fun too, I did a very theatrical "You're OUT" - now if only I'd known when to say it properly...)
Cannon for Congress Events Coordinator
Huntsman for Governor Utah Co Coordinator
Nordstrom Retail (Oh yes, I lived the dream for a few short months [said w/sarcasm in case you weren't sure])
Fundraiser for Heller for Congress

5 THINGS YOU DON'T KNOW ABOUT ME:
1. Though I swore to never succumb, I am now a "Heroes" fan
2. I watch Oprah almost everyday (yes, I am now one of those girls, but I swear I don't worship her.....yet)
3. For some reason, I was an All-Star softball player in Elementary School
4. I'm currently shopping for a new car
5. I love dancing -one of the many reasons why Becca and I made such great roommates

YOU'VE BEEN TAGGED: Melissa, Suzanne, Annie B, Sarah, and Erica T (when their blogs are ready)

  1. What--you remember Jenga at your sweet 18 but not the inflatable bounce house?

  2. Yahoo!! You're awesome and I'm glad I could get you to do that. Definite cousin loyalty. =) I totally remember the ICBINB and chocolate chips.
I was at our little clubhouse gym and Matrix was on. It was at the part when they go in the bldg. to save Morpheus. Then, remember he "starts to believe" and fights the main agent guy (agent smith?). Anyway, remember when he finishes with the big kick, leaves his foot there for awhile and then put it down to the side slowly. I hard to keep it in from laughing because I totally remember watching that with everyone. And then my favorite Erika quote: "He told him what he needed to know. (Shhhh)." I'm laughing right now. =)
I miss dancing, too. It's not the same, although Bob is a little more willing. Probably for the kids. Davis tries to shut us down, but I know Gabbie will be my dancing partner with her already bouncin' to the music. haey! Maybe when our furniture is seeing its last days we can reunite our air band and everything! good times! =)

  3. I loved reading this about you. I too watch Oprah, but secretly only really enjoy the episodes about superficial things like houses or fashion.
